Artist Statement:

“I love the MAGICAL WORLD I escape to whenever I apply watercolor paints to paper.  I can make two-dimensional drawings of everyday items appear as though you could reach out and carry them away or leave them flat without dimension or emotion.   With my ideas, paints and brushes, I can recreate reality, life, and emotion. I believe that ART doesn’t need words or explanations to be universally understood.  The world is full of interesting imagery and characters. It’s very rewarding to have a viewer remark…“I GET IT”! or assert the non verbal "Ah Hah"!. Perhaps evoking a thought will ignite the soul to create for all humanity… a better tomorrow.” Welcome to my world of color and imagery!!

  • We relocated from SWFl. toTucson, Az in November 2011 where we bought a home near the Saguaro National Park in Feb., 2012. I joined the local SAWG (Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild) group, have my studio set up in my home, and am busy again painting. I am still looking for a gallery to represent me here in Tucson.

Thank you to all the people who visited the SAWG Art Gallery (in the shopping center off River and Craycroft roads) in Dec. 2013 and voted my painting "Rodeo Clowns" into the SAWG 2015 Calendar. The community calendar will go on sale this fall.

"Advance to Go" was chosen to be published in North Light's book, Splash 15: Creative Solutions. It will be available in the spring of 2015. More information at: www.Splashwatercolor.com

Did you observe the ghost driver? Look closely.

"Bandit Lady" will be on display June 7-Aug. 17, 2014 at the National Watercolor Society's Members' Exhibition in San Pedro, California. Three paintings shared first place winnings. Bandit Lady was one of the three.

Thank you to juror: John Asaro
